Laura Davies makes the most of a 24 hour day. She has a private practice in the San Francisco Bay area that was established in 2002. Dr. Davies specializes in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. Her psychiatric expertise and approachable demeanor have landed her on the local television news half a dozen times to discuss related topics.

Dr. Davies is committed to physical fitness; her 6 day per week fitness regime includes running, swimming and biking. Staying active also translates to causes she believes in, including the ongoing fight for healthcare reform.

Life in the Bay area enjoyed with family and friends is her top priority. She is a mom who loves to travel. Most recently, Dr. Davies attended the winter Olympics with her son, not only for the extraordinary experience, but for her son to see firsthand that with hard work and determination you can achieve anything. Other recent travels have led to Paris, south of Spain and Morocco, England, New York and Cuba.

Dr. Davies is fluent in Spanish, which is valuable to her work providing bicultural training for mental health providers in the Latino community. In her down time, she reads a lot, mostly fiction written primarily in Spanish by Mexican and Argentinian authors.

The NAS offices that Dr. Davies serves are located in San Francisco and most recently Stockton.
